Hillcrest Mountain View self contained holiday Cottage is located in beautiful Crystal Creek, just 10 minutes drive from the centre of Murwillumbah in the stunning Tweed hinterland region on the Far North Coast of NSW.
Set in a private, secluded garden close to our 12 metre solar heated pool, with spectacular views directly to Mt Warning and the rainforests of Springbrook Ranges, the Cottage is designed to offer peaceful and romantic self catering accommodation for one couple and is a perfect honeymoon destination away from the crowds of the Gold Coast and Byron. Please Note: the Cottage is strictly for one couple only, although another two couples can be accommodated in the private guest wing of our main house B&B.
Cottage guests enjoy a fully functional kitchen, complete with full size gas stove and microwave oven, gas BBQ on the private verandah, separate lounge with wood fire, wide screen stereo TV, dvd and stereo system, QS bedroom and large ensuite bathroom with top of the range luxury double spa bath and separate oversize shower.
Hillcrest Cottage is centrally located to a range of activities, beauty spots and World Heritage Listed National Parks in the Tweed Valley including the famous Mt Warning ~ the spot where the first dawn sun touches the East coast of Australia ~ which can be clearly seen from both the bedroom and the bathroom. In fact you can sit in your spa bath, sipping on champagne and look directly at Mt Warning from the Cottage.

Self catering enthusiasts will love the fully functional kitchen with a full size gas stove, fridge and microwave oven, as well as Gas BBQ on your private verandah, so you can enjoy the traditional Aussie BBQ whilst taking in the spectacular views to Springbrook and the Cougal Mountains.
You can choose to fully self cater, or take our breakfast basket option which includes: your choice of juice, selection of cereals, pancake mix, fresh fruit, waffles, yoghurt, a loaf of home-baked bread, our own free range eggs, selection of home-made preserves, butter, milk, local honey, selection of teas and fresh coffee.
For longer stays we vary selections with such items as smoked salmon, avocado & dill salad, spiced plums with croissants ~ or you name your preference and we'll do our best to oblige.

The comfortable lounge, with high raked ceilings, split system reverse cycle air-conditioning plus ceiling fans for summer comfort and a wood burning fire for winter romance, is completely separate from the queen size bedroom and large ensuite bathroom.
Double glass sliding doors open from the lounge to your private verandah where you will find comfortable sun lounges and a gas BBQ.
With wide screen television, dvd player and stereo system including CD player, the cottage is your self catering holiday home away from home. We provide a selection of DVDs and CDs for your enjoyment. You'll also find a selection of books and games as well as lots of information on things to see and do in during your stay in the in the beautiful Tweed area. In addition both of the video libraries in Murwillumbah will provide temporary membership to Hillcrest Cottage guests.

Hillcrest Self Contained Cottage is tastefully decorated in a modern Australian contemporary style with the emphasis on comfort.
Guests enjoy a Queen Size bedroom with double glass sliding doors looking directly at Mt Warning. The bedroom is completely separate from the lounge and has a large ensuite bathroom.
Two built-in wardrobes provide plenty of hanging space ~ robes and plenty of hangers too ~ whilst ceiling fans and air-conditioning ensure summer comfort.
The wood fire heats the whole cottage splendidly in Winter ~ firewood is provided with our compliments. If you don't want to light the fire, the air-conditioning takes care of heating as well if you wish.
We also put an electric blanket on the bed during the cooler months for extra cosiness.
