So just about everyone's heard of Mt Warning ~ the hub of the world's largest extinct shield volcano and the point where the dawn sun first touches Australia.

A favourite with tourists and locals alike is to climb Mt Warning to watch dawn ~ personally we'd rather see dawn from the comfort of Hillcrest Cottage or take a Super Waco flight around the top, but if physical activity is more your thing then take a look at our Mt Warning information page HERE.

At Hillcrest cottage you'll meet our resident horses ~ Larry the retired riding horse and Bonny his little mate. Larry loves a cuddle and they'll both love you forever if you keep your stale bread for them as a treat.
